The Pupil Premium money is allocated to schools by the Government to children who are known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), Service Children and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. This will also include pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure). It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils at their school.
At Greengates Primary School on average we have 30% of children are eligible for the PPG. This extra funding is to help schools provide the extra support children from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their full potential. We are committed to making every penny of the Pupil Premium count.
You can read how we utilise the Pupil Premium Grant on our Statutory Information page here.
